This is Oliver (the nice looking one) from Australia.   He decided to make something terrifying!  And he got it!   Oliver wants you to meet “Thinnamie”.    Perfection!

Here are some wonderful projects that Veronique Smeulders made to hang where she works, in a home for the elderly in Belgium.  She thought the decorations would brighten their day.   Sounds like they did that and more!   It helped bring the artist out in Veronique!  The projects are magnificent.

 Jonas just finished dragon number 6.   This one is really cool.  It is “Behir” from Dungeons and Dragons.  You can see a video of it’s making here.   Fabulous!

Andy and his kids, Bella and Nate decided to make a dragon together.  It became a family project.  And what a fantastic dragon it turned out to be!    Andy got to carry this cool dragon on the “tube” in London on the way to Nate’s “show and tell”.  Lots of looks!  Lots of fun!

And here they are, Andy on the left, Bella in the middle, and Nate on the right.  I love this photo!  I’ve been told that there is interest in making the body someday!  That would be quite the challenge!

Inez decided to make her grandson, Hamish, a dragon to ride in a carnival.   She ended up with two fantastic pieces!

This fantastic dragon is “Pyrros the Vengeful, Guardian of Written Lore!”  Created by Gabrielle, Calla, and Brianna, it resides at Greenacres Library in the Palm Beach County Library System in Florida.   Wonderful way to get kids to read!

Erica and Nadia Bonhomme live in the far North, in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.   That is where they race Soapbox cars.  Nadia wanted a dragon themed car, and Erica (Nadia’s mother) and Nadia decided to make one!    And what a wonderful car they made!  This is going to be such a hit!

Jaedyn Grant had an assignment for her Language Arts class having to do with Joseph Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness”.  She and her mother, Christy, decided to make an elephant holding a heart dripping blood as a metaphor for the themes in the book.  And what a great job they did!  It took many long hours of them both working together to accomplish this piece.  Fantastic job!

She made a paper mache heart ("Heart of Darkness" - Kurtz's heart:Colonialism) with hot glue blood drips, being held like a trophy by the elephant (Congo:Nature).

Jeff Bullard works with a marching band (Mid-Carolina High School Marching Band, Prosperity, SC.) whose mascot is “Harvey” the dragon. They decided to build the mascot, complete with smoke coming out of the mouth!  Very cool!

Arthur Wallis’ made this dragon for his father.   It is called “The Red Terror,” understandably!  Great job!

Honna O’Connell wanted to make something great for her son.  And she did!  Her is her son with “Knarly.”  What a lucky kid!

Markee has been doing art for many years but has only just begun using paper mache.  And look what popped out!  A very cute monster (with great taste in literature)!

Peter (dad) and Kelsey (daughter) worked together to create a wonderful dragon.   They named it “Irma” because they were finishing as the hurricane blew through!   Below is Irma, Kelsey and their cat, Loverboy.  All three…adorable!

Kseniya lives in Yekaterinburg, Russia.   She has been making some great dragons!   Here is a couple of them.  First the blue dragon.

Christopher Solchen worked with kids from School District 197 in Minnesota this summer.  They made a dragon while in the day camp.  This was the only photo he was able to capture before the camp ended.  It is certainly a worthy project!  So here is “Storm the Dragon!”  Congrats to Christopher and all the kids!  christopher bolchen's dragon
